HP Stream 13c100na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I recently purchased a HP Stream 13 Notebook and the speakers are not working, no sound at all is coming through the speakers and the only way I can hear any sound is through headphones.

I have completed all the normal checks withn no success. Today, I ran the Component Audio Test in the HP PC Diagnostics Tool and received the message that the component failed, additional details are below:

Failure ID: GLTWXH-8A28LD-MFPX61-001503

Product ID: L2T26EA#ABU

Please could some clever person in this forum, advise if this is a hardware problem that cannot be fixed by the likes of me or if this is a software or some other problem that I may be able to resolve.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Unfortunately, it's a hardware issue.

The 24 character Failure ID relates to a problem with the system board ( or a connected component ).

Depending on where in the world you live, if you've had the notebook less than 28 days, my best advice would be to return the machine to the retailer you purchased it from and get a replacement.

Alternatively, you can contact HP and arrange to have the machine repaired under warranty - If needed, you can check your warranty status Here.
