Hi guys!
I have the following error since the last windows update:
Any of the connected headphones or microphones has no or very low volume, even the control panel barely detects any input.
So far i have tried:
- Reinstalling Windows 11
- Reinstalling the IO drivers with the followings:
-Via support assistant
-Via windows update
-Manually from the product page of the notebook - Reinstalling the Audio drivers with the followings:
-Via support assistant
-Via windows update
-Manually from the product page of the notebook - Setting everything to the max. Input volumes, gain controls.
- The problem is present with ANY headphone that uses 3.5mm jack
The problem is not present in other operating systems. Tested with Debian 12, and Ubuntu 22.04.05 (Jammy Jellyfish). It's not possible to be a hardware error. It's just working out-of-the-box.
So far nothing worked. I remember, i had this issue , but I found a workaround with a late audio driver, but that driver is not available anymore on the HP support page.
Any suggestions?

Pease try a clean install Audio driver
1. Download https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp131501-132000/sp131797.exe
and save on your computer
2. Use Device Manager to uninstall audio driver (if any),
3. Reboot machine,
4. Install downloaded file above,
5. Reboot machine.
Hope this helps.
Regards
