Hello, My HP envy, which I opened brand new a day ago, won't let my headphones into the jack. I have check and my headphone, they are 3.5 mm which should fit. They are apple. I know that they work because I have used them on other laptops, PC's and phones. It stops going in once it reaches the third line (I hope that makes sense). I have tried to force it in (not a lot but on anything else it would have gone in).
If there is anything else I should do please let me know.

Hi @Phoenix204
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to connect a 3.5mm headphone to the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
Have you tried using different headphones?
All the 3.5mm headphones should fit properly in the headphone jack. If you have tried more than one headphone and facing the same issue, then it might be a hardware issue.
I recommend you contact support and they will assist you in this regard.
Here is how you can get in touch with support.
1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
