HP DU1014TU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

1.    Left side speaker crack volume.
I check my sound testing in control panel I heard some crack sound from left side speaker. some times the left side speaker volume is coming after 4-5 second delay. (Note: the right side speaker works fine compare to left side speaker).

2.  FHD/4K volume issue.
When I watch the FHD/4K video with 10-66% volume level that time the left side volume is low compare to right side volume. This volume issue is continue from 10% to 66% level,
(Note: from 67-100% level the volume is working fine without any issue).

3. Mp3 sound issue with Headphone and speaker.
I listen any mp3 songs through headphone/earphone with 29% volume level and suddenly if I remove the headphone/earphone from my laptop and play the audio through speaker then that time the volume is like headphone/earphone volume not like speaker volume.

(note: the volume not automatically change to speaker volume).

@David-91 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the HP new laptop has Realtek volume issues.

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

If the issue still persists, please perform the system reset.

Windows 10 has a reset feature that repairs your computer by reinstalling the operating system. This feature is recommended for recovery because it reinstalls Windows 10 while either preserving your personal data and customizations or removing all your personal data.

You have a choice of two methods to reset your computer.

  • If Windows 10 loads correctly, see the section titled Perform a Windows 10 system reset in Windows in this document.

  • If Windows 10 does not start correctly, see the section titled Perform a Windows 10 system reset through Windows Recovery Environment in this document.
