Sound recently stopped working on my laptop. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers but still no success. The audio software is working properly but no sound is coming out the laptop speakers or headphones. I started troubleshooting with HP virtual assistant which led me to the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI test. I completed the audio playback test but there was no sound which resulted in a failed test.
