Hello,

I had trouble with no sound. Someone suggested that I should do a factory reset, which I didn't want to do, because I don't want the crappy tinny sound that I had when I first got this laptop. Plus, I didn't want the blue screen of death again. Now I have a Bluetooth speaker and I still have that crappy tinny sound.

The only time that the sound is not crappy is when I am on Adobe Audition and I plug in my console and microphone. That's when I record my podcast. Other than that, it's hard to heard something from YouTube on the speakers. The tinny sounds like something coming from old radio or something coming out of a tin can. How do I fix this?

Please download and perform a clean install the following Audio driver/software

    https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp88001-88500/sp88218.exe

Clean install :

  (a) Use Device Manager to uninstall Realtek audio driver,

  (b) Reboot,

  (c) Right click downloaded file and select Run ad administrator

  (d) Reboot.

Regards.
