I don't know what changed.  I have been doing Facebook live and zoom.  The live feeds have sound, but the recorded videos do not.  The videos did, but all the sudden they now do not.  I have downloaded video makers and they also do not have sound when the video is played back.  I have clicked everything I can find info on audio and nothing is working.  Help please!

@cnstone Check that you have the video, audio recording option enabled.

Go to Home > Applications > Camera > select Video Mode > Settings > Setup > Audio Recording > select enable option

If the audio recording option was disabled. enabling this option will not give you audio on videos that you have previously recorded, only on videos recorded after you have enabled the option.

P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉

Hi, thanks for your help.  I am pretty sure that I have all this done and no it does not record my video with sound or spotty sound.

@cnstone Alright, could you check if the microphone is working, call one of your friends and check if they can hear you, if they can't, this may be an issue with the Microphone and we can troubleshoot accordingly.

Keep me posted.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion.  So when i use my microphone live, it works perfectly.  Whomever is listening can hear my clear as a bell.  However, If i record that conversation and send out to people, post on facebook, or try to listen later myself, the sound is in and out, to no sound at all.

The first link was a video I did and the microphone worked better.

The next video a few days later is when it starts having bigger issues.  I personally made no changes to computer.

It gets worse and worse

@cnstone If it works fine while you are in a live conversation, that proves the microphone doesn't have any hardware failures, the issue seems to be with the application you are using to record, I suggest you check with an alternate application to record the video and check if that helps, if the issue persists, I suggest you contact the software manufacturer on the same.

Good luck!
