So I have been this issue for around 4 years... I really hate this. The intel SST audio that comes with DTS is really bad. Like the DTS control panel keeps remove the bass sound when I plug the headphone in so I have to toggle it on and off again. Also the driver is keeps on with it is really bad. It keeps create cracking sound when I'm listening to it no matter if I'm using headphone or laptop speakers. Also the device can't sync the same sound and video at the same time when I'm watching youtube. I'm not sure if spending $1200 at that time worth it since the audio is really bad.... My dad gave this laptop to me and I can't believe he can live with it lol. I want to install the generic driver of windows 10. I tried to uninstall the driver and let in install automatically and updated the BIOS but it cannot install the generic driver. Is there any way that I can install it? or at least, is there any way to remove DTS sound controller?

Your machine is the first generation of HP Spectre x360 13". Please do a clean install Audio softeware/driver, this should help.
(a) Download the following driver and save on your computer,
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp93001-93500/sp93151.exe
(b) Go to Device Manager, Sound to uninstall sound driver and reboot,
(c) Right click downloaded file and select Run as administrator,
(d) Reboot again.
Regards.

So I have tried that and it somewhat worked. The crackling sound and the sound delay is gone but the DTS control sound keeps buzzing around. Whenever I tried to plug in the headphone, it's auto turn on the audio enhancement which is the worst sound enhancement I have ever seen... The only way is to toggle disable and enable it again. Is there any way to completely remove it?
