As a result of distance learning my 2nd grade son is using the HP Chromebook he received for Christmas for Google Hangouts and Zoom. The problem is you can barely hear anyone speak with the internal microphone. It is on and allowed to use for the site. I have turned off the Bluetooth setting as well. How can you adjust the microphone volume level?

I reviewed your post and I understand that the microphone volume is too low.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you increase the volume on your Chromebook and it will affect the microphone volume as well.
If you continue facing the issue, then there are volume extensions in The Chrome Web Store. Give some a try.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
