On device manager there is an orange warning triangle next to AMD audio device, windows settings show no input devices, have tried automatic and manual driver updates with no luck. The microphone mute button on the keyboard initially did not function either (it was off and pressing it did not show the indicator light), now it is stuck on.
HP's audio diagnostic tool showed: detected "the microphone or headphone is unplugged"
Any help is greatly appreciated, no idea if this is a hardware or software issue at this point.
