Hi every time I try to go on zoom or any video conferencing website, my mic sounds like an airplane is taking off. I got in trouble by a professor because it was distracting.  I even tried just filming a video and the mic does the same. How do I fix this?

Thank you!!

@H_smith Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the Internal microphone sounds like an airplane going off.

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

Please uninstall the audio drivers, update the chipset. Restart the computer and audio drivers. Also, update the BIOS.
