Envy x360 15m-cn0012
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have an Envy x360 convertible model 15m-cn0012 and my laptop will sometimes freeze up and make a buzzing sound when I play music, watch videos and play games. I've tried several things to keep it from doing this. Including updating the drivers, going to BIOS and checking to see if there were any updates avaiable for my laptop. I have already updated it to the most recent update and it stopped making the buzzing noise for a while but now it's back and I don't know what to do.

Hi Arely,

For the current issue that you are encountering, please refer to the public document in the link below:

This issue is a driver issue cause by Intel Smart Sound Technology (ISST) driver.

Please check in device manager if the Audio driver that you are having under "Sound, Video and game controllers" the Realtek driver version in higher or the same version in the document.

The link below is for your unit drivers page:

You can download the latest audio driver from there, it is even newer than the version in the document.

Kind Regards,

Thumbs up and Accept solution if solved.
