HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0110ng

Hi all,

my Laptop suddenly reports "No audio device installed" - Realtek audio system disappeared.

HP support assitant says: "HW problem". No further solution was suggested.

Realtek driver re-installed ... says "working fine".

I had previously issues with an USB DAC. Sometimes it worked but sometimes it was rapidly flickering between USB and board speakers as if there was a kind of conflict. Now neither audio is working anymore.

Please help!

Hi @Bernd8357,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

Let's start off by Uninstalling the audio drivers from the Device manager:

Right-Click on the start button> click device manager> expand sound video and game controllers>then select the sound drivers and right-click on it and uninstall the audio drivers.

Then check the box and delete the software for this device.

Now restart the computer and then update the Bios, Chipset, and Audio drivers on your PC from our HP support website, using this link.

Also, download and install the HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer to this link to know how to use the HP support assistant.

Once done, restart the computer and check if that works.

Hi Elohi_NR,

thanks for replying!

Unfortunately there is no Windows11 section for the device drivers.

I had installed and used the HP support assistant already and it ended up by detection a HW problem (which I doubt is true)

Anz other hint?

Grtz

Bernd

Hi @Bernd8357,

Have you done any changes to your OS from win 10 to win 11? If yes, you will not find any drivers until further notice.

However, if need further assistance, I've sent you a private message with further instructions. In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
