Omen 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Twice now I have had to reset my new Omen laptop after losing all audio after Windows update. I tried all the suggested HP online tips to no avail.

It seems a lot of people are having this issue. Is there a definite fix or will I have to send the laptop back?

It is an AMD 7 Ryzen processor with Realtek high def speakers. Reinstalling drivers doesn't work. The only thing that works is resetting laptop to original settings and never doing a Windows update!

Thanks for any advice.

Have you tried to turning off the "audio enhancements" on your speaker setting??

Thanks, I did try that but didn't work.

I managed to speak to someone at HP and it is a known issue with Windows update and certain HP computers. I downloaded a third party app which reinstalls the Realtek drivers and now works.
