When i first started using this HP envy laptop three weeks ago i was able to teach drums and ukulele to online students and they could easily hear my voice and my instruments. I use google meetings. Then last week I had to use zoom for the first time on this new laptop for a meeting and since then my mic picks up my voice fine but drums and ukulele instantly disappear as soon as i play a note. it is almost as if zoom changed a setting and made some sort of sound limiter or auditory discrimination setting appear. ukulele is the biggest surprise because it occupies the same volume and frequency range as the human voice - though my drums are electronic and not super loud either. plus - again, the week before the change it was working fine.
