Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I use HP Envy J110tx notebook. Recently  I noticed that the small light in the top right corner in the mute key( F6 key to be precise) is not glowing. Please share solutions!

As I understand the mute key isn't glowing anymore if the mute can be toggled and it works, however, the light doesn't turn on, it's possibly a hardware malfunction within the LED,
 

And if the mute button isn't working along with the LED on the mute button, please follow the below steps:

The mute function works fine. The problem is with the LED. Hope it would be hardware malfunction as you have mentioned.
