HP XP360 Spectre i7 65000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

I am using HP Spectre X360 i7 6500.   I am using it a lot for my work giving a presentation.  I have a problem with the output of my Notebook. It is not balanced.  Left is okay but the Right output is very tiny sound and I heard sounds brooming.

I have checked all possibilities in setting, control panel, check audio balance and even re-install the driver (Connexant).

Please help how to solve it because there is no Spectre expert technician in my area. The service center station said they have to send it to Jakarta and have to go 2-3 months.

I had problems before with the keyboard and battery. They said the same and the solution was I did it myself.  Buy it from eBay and do it - prepare it myself - much quicker and more satisfying.

Can anyone help with my Sound/Audio problem?  Thanks a lot

@aimzein Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the headphone output is not balanced.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Have you tried with a different headset?

Without a headset, speaker sounds are a good or the same issue?

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Please uninstall the audio drivers from the device manager and restart the computer and then reinstall the drivers.

After installing the audio drivers, please update the BIOS.

Please click the below link to download the drivers.
