Hello friends,
My laptop inbuilt microphone, not able to record vocal sound, but it's able to record the tapping sounds.
I tried OS rollback from Windows 10- 64 bit Version 1909 to Version 1903 and also tried all the audio drivers available for this product from 2017 to 2019.
Mic volume is not muted and level kept 100 in volume control.
Mic boost is set to 10 db tried all the levels in fact.

Hi everyone...
The problem has been resolved...
Actually there was no issue in software.
When I opened the display cover to access the mic I found a manufacturing mistake.
Each mic was having a rubber spacer which was covering the mic hole, even the glue was also applied to much that the spacers' holes were also blocked. Now I have cleared both the spacer and the mic hole. Now it records all the voices clearly.
This is a very clear case of manufacturing defect and it shows there are no checks after assembly. When I purchased the laptop and unboxed it, it was found in sleep mode. This issue was shared with HP support but I unfortunately I didn't get any response.
Below is the image of mic spacers.
Thanks and regards...

I reviewed your post and I understand that the microphone is not recording audio.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.
1. Run Audio Troubleshooter
- Launch Troubleshooting by typing and clicking “Troubleshooting” in
Windows search.
- Click on "Playing Audio".
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
2. Boost sensitivity of Microphone
- Right Click on the Volume icon on the taskbar, select "Recording".
- Double click on Microphone.
- Open the Levels Tab, move the Microphone boost slider up to check audio.
3. Disable enhancements
- Right Click on the Volume icon on the taskbar, select "Recording“, Double
click on Microphone.
- Open the Enhancements / Effects Tab.
- Check "Disable All Sound / System Effects“. Click Apply, OK, test the Microphone again.
4. Change format of the Microphone
- Right click on the Volume Icon on the taskbar, select "Recording Devices".
- Double click on Microphone.
- Go to the Advanced Tab, choose any of the 16 bit options on the list.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thanks for your reply...
@The_Fossette,
The above listed all the actions I have already tried but still the problem is same.
I tried different formats, all the levels of mic boosting, enabling/disabling enhancements.
But nothing solved the problem.

I tried it in all the applications camera, voice recorder, zoom. It's just able to record tap sounds, but not voice. When I am speaking very near to mic then it's able to record but that too very low sound.
Thanks for your support...
