Hey everyone, I have a HP ENVY x360 Convertible running Windows 10. My computer has this problem where suddenly the sound will completely mute and can no longer be adjusted at all. When you attempt to troubleshoot, the laptop itself is not recognizing the internal speakers as an audio output, and says to plug in a speaker, headset, or headphone. I spoke to HP Support and they had me uninstall the following drivers "Conexant ISST Audio" and "Intel(R) Reference Codec." Then, they reinstalled them, and I had to restart my computer and the audio was working again. However, after a few hours the audio tends to cut out again, and I have to repeat this process. I have the driver files downloaded and kept so I can quickly uninstall/reinstall/restart to get the audio working again, but the entire process has become quite a nuisance. Does anyone have a long term or permanent fix to my problem? Or any advice would be great!
