HP Laptop 15-bs091ms
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My computer is an HP Laptop 15-bs094ms S.N. [Private information removed] Product N. 2UE58UA # ABA Yesterday I installed your HP Support Assistant. She suggested I install the HP Notebook System BIOS Update F.52 After the system restart, the sound completely disappeared, the system reports that there are no speakers and headphones connected. It was normal sound before.
I don't know what to do now ???
Easy-Fix diagnostics showed absolutely no problems.
I understand that the problem is not with the drivers and that the reinstalled BIOS now does not find any audio device and microphone.
Your virtual assistant "tried" to help me, but failed - I couldn't "talk to" him. At first he knows my computer model and offers the usual steps, no one helps, then he starts asking questions again from the beginning - what computer model and so on ...
Can you offer me real help?

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please run an Audio Test from F2 Diagnostic and let me know if you hear anything

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the Notebook.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Audio

Thank you

The computer speaker and microphone operate normally during the F2 test. Sorry, I can't add test log files here.

I only hear the sound during the test, but when OS Windows loads the situation stays the same - the system reports that there are no speakers and headphones connected and no sound.

I recommend you download and install the audio driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Thanks for the reply The_Fossete

I downloaded your sp104077.exe file, installed it and received a Warning message:

The driver is not supported on this OS version (10.0.18362).

And nothing more is happening.

After that I still ran Setup.exe from the installation directory SP104077. The installation was successful (only very slowly), I was asked to reboot the system, then unfortunately the result is the same - system reports that there are no speakers and headphones connected.

I have a sound troubleshooting report in registry_log.txt, but I can't attach it here - a very long file.

What else could I do?

@JuozasLa7

Thank you for posting back.

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. I would suggest performing system factory reset will put the computer back to the original factory settings in this way all corrupted and outdated software will be removed.

While doing the recovery there is an option to backup your personal files. If you have not previously done one now is a good time.

Restoring Files that were Backed Up Using HP Recovery Manager (Windows )You can also contact HP support for assistance. They can remotely access your system to help alleviate difficulties: www.hp.com/contacthp/

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “
