No audio device is listed after a clean install

HP envy 1700 notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I sure messed up somehow. I performed what I believed to be a clean install, and lost all my software!  Also, there is no audio. I tried to reinstall the audio driver and it said there was no device.

Yipes!! Plwase help.

Hi,

I think it is a CTO machine called HP Envy 17t-j000 and it did not have Windows 10 pre-installed. Please select available software from the following link:

       http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-17-Notebook-PC-series/5387628/model/5388095

(Note: You can try Windows 7 or 8.1 software)

Regards.
