OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-wd000 (7B9S2AV)

Hi! I can't find any sort of equalizer on my HP Omen laptop. Can't find Realtek Audio Console, Omen Audio Control nor any similar thing. There's also nothing like that in Omen Gaming Hub. There's only default Windows 11 sound control. Should there be any sort of tool for sound regulation? All my drivers are up to date. I would really appreciate some help, cause I'm at my wits' end.

Hi @Striga86,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating to not have the audio control options you're looking for on your HP Omen laptop. While some laptops come with built-in equalizer or audio control software, it's possible that your specific model might not have it pre-installed or readily available.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially find a solution.

  • Check HP Support: Visit the official HP support website for your laptop model. Sometimes, HP provides software downloads specifically for audio control or equalizer settings.
  • Update Drivers: While you mentioned that your drivers are up to date, it might be worth double-checking. Sometimes, reinstalling audio drivers can fix issues and might bring back any missing audio control software.
  • Windows Sound Settings: Although it's not as robust as dedicated audio control software, Windows 11 does offer some basic sound settings. You can access them by right-clicking on the speaker icon in the taskbar and selecting "Open Sound settings." From there, you can adjust volume levels and access other basic settings.

By going through these steps, hopefully, you'll be able to find a solution or workaround to adjust your audio settings to your liking.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Windows sound setting are set to max, I've also tried reinstalling audio drivers. I will try contacting HP support. It's hard to believe such a good gaming laptop would be so lacking in sound department, I may be missing something.
