@Iluismanuel, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding no sound issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check the Sound Settings

Ensure volume is not muted:

  • Click on the sound icon in the system tray (usually located at the bottom right of the screen).
  • Make sure the volume slider is turned up and there is no red circle with a slash (which indicates mute).

Use keyboard shortcuts:

  • Check if your laptop has function keys (like F1, F2, etc.) for sound. They usually have speaker icons on them.
  • Use the function keys like Fn + F10 or Fn + Volume up key to unmute or adjust the sound.

Check Playback Devices

  1. Right-click on the sound icon in the system tray and select "Playback devices."
  2. Make sure the correct playback device is set as default.
    • Right-click the device and click "Set as default device" if it's not already set.

Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers

  1. Open Device Manager:
    • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
  2. Locate Sound, video and game controllers and update drivers:
    • Expand the section, right-click on your audio device (like "Realtek Audio"), and select "Update driver."
  3. If updating doesn't work, try reinstalling:
    • Right-click on the audio device and select "Uninstall device."
    • Restart your laptop; Windows should automatically reinstall the drivers.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
