@Iluismanuel, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding no sound issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Check the Sound Settings
Ensure volume is not muted:
- Click on the sound icon in the system tray (usually located at the bottom right of the screen).
- Make sure the volume slider is turned up and there is no red circle with a slash (which indicates mute).
Use keyboard shortcuts:
- Check if your laptop has function keys (like F1, F2, etc.) for sound. They usually have speaker icons on them.
- Use the function keys like Fn + F10 or Fn + Volume up key to unmute or adjust the sound.
Check Playback Devices
- Right-click on the sound icon in the system tray and select "Playback devices."
- Make sure the correct playback device is set as default.
- Right-click the device and click "Set as default device" if it's not already set.
Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers
- Open Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
- Locate Sound, video and game controllers and update drivers:
- Expand the section, right-click on your audio device (like "Realtek Audio"), and select "Update driver."
- If updating doesn't work, try reinstalling:
- Right-click on the audio device and select "Uninstall device."
- Restart your laptop; Windows should automatically reinstall the drivers.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
