No headphone icon in playback device after inserting headphone

Hi @Ahsan_Anik,

Thank you for posting at HP Forums! I have read your post and wanted to help.

I understand that the sound comes from both speakers and headphones when you plugged in the headphones.

In the Sound properties, go to the Recording Tab and set your headphone/headset device as default. Then it should be no sound from speakers any more after headphone plugged in.

Let me know if it works for you.

No headphone icon in playback device after inserting headphone

Hi @Ahsan_Anik,

Thank you for the reply!

Have you tried to connect other headphones or external speaker to the laptop to test if it could recognize the device in the playback devices?

Thank you!

Hi @Ahsan_Anik,

Is the audio driver you installed sp72594.exe Version 6.0.1.7571 Rev.A?

Also, did other headsets have the same results after connecting to the same port?

Hi @Ahsan-Anik,

Can you download and install sp72594.exe? Restart the laptop to test if it can recognize the device.
