After a clean reinstall I'm not getting any audio output from my internal speaker and headphone jack.
I'm using a HP Envy 17 Laptop, with Windows 10 preinstalled, about a year old. (My monitor connected via HDMI does have sound).
I reinstalled my machine 3 times now, the latest was a full factory reset.
All my drivers are up to date and I installed all windows updates.
The components test (f2 on boot) shows the hardware is okay, I can hear the sound.
The Audio trouble shooting gives me an error " Audio services are not responding" but when I check services, the Windows Audio and Windows Audio Endpoint Builder are running start automatically.
The devices are set as default and have the volume up, but when I try to play a test tone, it fails.
Can someone help me? I looked around on the internet, but can only find basic trouble shooting, which I've all tried.
