Product: Compaq 620 Notebook
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Thiis an older notebook. I was orginally told it wasn't compatible with Windows 10. I upgraded to 8 Gb RAM and a new 1 TB hard drive. I also used t HP Support Assistant to upgrade all the drivers. I then downloaded Windows 10 64 bit I ordered on line. The download came from Microsoft. The first iso file failed, but Microsoft made it right so it works fine.
My problem is the audio doesn't work, eitherwith the internal or external speakers. Microsift Tech Support spent hours trying to fix the bug. Then they said this computer isn't compatible with Windows 10, and I should contact HP. So why does everything else about W10 work???
Anyway, since it's so far out of warranty I'm hoping the Community can help.
Any thoughts or suggestions, another driver, anything that might help me recover sound would be greatly appreciated.

HP Recommended

Unfortunately neither of the IDT Audio packages worked. The message I received was "The hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package. The install will be aborted."
Any other suggestions?
