Chromebook 360x
Chrome OS
This is a new HP Chromebook 360 14-DA0011DX, Chrome version 92.0.4515.130 (Official Build) (64-bit), not a managed device. Sound comes out of headphones but not internal speakers. This is happening with everything, not just a specific website. I can click on the volume slider on the screen but nothing happens. In Audio Settings, nothing shows up to select from unless the Bluetooth headphones are connected when Bluetooth is on, in which case that's the only thing that shows up there. The function keys on the keyboard and the volume buttons on the side of the device also do not increase the (nonexistent) volume. I have tried a hard reset and a power wash. All extensions have been disabled. I tried unplugging the charging cable since it's a multifunction port (USB-C charge and headphones). I have tried with Bluetooth on and off, as well as Night Mode on and off. This issue is occurring in guest mode as well. I conducted all of the troubleshooting steps before trying headphones and with Bluetooth off., all of the frustration is regarding internal speakers only. Any guesses other than a loose cable?
