Hi, I have been having problems with laptop, no sound at all. I have deleted drivers and restarted, disabled and enabled drivers, audio diagnostics etc... everything seems to be showing as working. In desperation, I formatted hard drive and reinstalled windows 7, updated, still no sound. I ran HP hardware diagnostics program and have a Failure ID: RLM54C - 5RG9R6 - MFPV5F - 21TG13. I tried to find out what this code means and I found a page, typed in ID and nothing but table telling me I have a failure code. Please help.
System ID: 1668

@Sue20191 Welcome to HP Community!
I'm glad you've done the hardware test and mentioned the hardware failure ID, as I've successfully deciphered the code
And here's what it represents: failure code - 107
Audio Failure (Possible failure within the Audio Board, Audio Card, Audio Jack, Earphone, Headset, Microphone, Receiver or Internal Speakers)
That said, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
