Pavilion dv6
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The sound disappears after some time working behind the laptop, and it can only be returned by rebooting. The sound mixer shows that there is sound, but it is not audible in the headphones, and the speakers do not work for some time for another reason. Decided that it hangs the driver. I installed the versions of the IDT High Definition Codec driver and 6.10.6493.0 and 6.10.6466.0, even the standard one from Windows with "High Definition Support", there is no solution. Device Manager shows that the driver is working fine. In the event viewer did not find anything suspicious. Most often the problem appears when the system is working hard. For example, in some games. I'm tired of this.

@mark_jobs,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • When was the last time the audio was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • What is the exact model for your computer?

Look forward to hearing from you and you have a great day!

Take care.

Cheers!
