There is a strange issue with my laptop. Firstly, the headphone jack seems to be completely jammed- nothing will fit in it as if there is something stuck in it. However, I did not get anything stuck in it. Secondly, the laptops speakers are not being picked up by the OS, and it will only play audio through the headphones that it is so convinced are plugged into it! I have checked in devices- the laptop's speakers do not show up!

In addition to this, the trackpad is loose and the backlighting in the home key does not work.

Is there anyway I can fix this? Is this covered by the warrenty? Is there anyway to change the audio port myself? Is that the cause of the speaker issue?

I would definately appreciate it if anyone could give me any advice.

Thanks.

@Jarlark223_ Did you drop the device or have any accidents with it before these issues occurred?

While you respond to that, I must say that both the headphone jack & the touchpad issues are hardware related and there's nothing much to do, but to work on replacing it,

As for the speakers not being detected, I suggest you try the below steps:

The best way to resolve the issue is by using the HP Guided Troubleshooter:

(simply select your description of the issue from the bottom of the screen to gain access to the next set of steps that should resolve your concern).
