Hi,

I've had this laptop for about four months now, and the audio in the left speaker has stopped working again. This is the second time it's happened, but I don't remember what I did, if anything, to fix it the first time. The speaker *does* play sound, but only when I go into the sound settings and adjust the balance so the left speaker is playing at max volume while the right stays normal.

I tried restarting several times. I checked for updated drivers - nothing. I followed one thread's advice to uninstall and reinstall the audio drivers, and that made no difference. This is the second minor issue I've had that comes and goes with this PC (the other being a touch pad issue), and they happened right out of the box.

I don't know if this is a hardware issue or not. This laptop is covered under a protection plan, but if this is a hardware problem would this be considered a defective machine since it happened almost immediately out of the box?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the audio on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you uninstall the audio driver from device manager and then download and install it from the below link.

If you continue facing the issue, then run the audio troubleshooter following the below steps.

- Launch Troubleshooting by typing and clicking “Troubleshooting” in Windows search.

  - Click on "Playing Audio".

  - Follow the on-screen instructions.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
