My laptop is about 2 years old.  Does it have a USB 3 port?

Actually your laptop is F9M02UA#ABA, not F9MO2UA#ABA (zero, not oh) and it is:

 

 HP PAVILION 17-E134NR NOTEBOOK PC (ENERGY STAR)

It has 2 SuperSpeed USB 3.0  (left) and 1 Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 (right, next to CD/DVD drive)
