Pavilion Notebook Volume Always Max No Matter The Volume Displayed By The PC Itself

HP Pavilion 17t-ab000 (2016)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I was wondering about this issue I've been having lately. My HP Pavilion 17t-ab000 Notebook's audio has been stuck at absolute blaring sound no matter if it's at 100 volume or just simply 2 volume. It is a real pain and even with headphones it is the same way, my speakers in my laptop seem like they're gonna blow every time because it is just so loud no matter the volume. If anyone knows a resolution to this issue it'd be much appreciated, thanks. -Trent

Hi,

Uninstall any audio driver from Device Manager first.

Download, save these drivers to desktop:
Intel chipset: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-Pavilion-17-Notebook-PC-series/10862170...

Realtek audio driver: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-Pavilion-17-Notebook-PC-series/10862170...

Shut down.

Do a hard reset: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01684768

Then , reload BIOS default settings: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00034791

Then power on notebook. Let Windows load completely.

Next Install Intel chipset first. Let it finish.
Next Install Realtek audio driver.

After installation finishes.

Restart system

Check if issue is resolved.
