HP Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a pair of Seinheiser Momentum 2s, a pair of very high quality headphones that, when used with my Samsung Galaxy S7, work brilliantly. However, when I use them with my Envy, the quality is noticeably low, which is very upsetting given the price and quality of the headphones. It is important to note that this is a Bluetooth connection, and I have been unable to use them with an auxiliary cable to test the connection that way, so I am not sure if this is a problem with audio in general or with Bluetooth specifically. If there is any way to fix this, I would love to hear it.

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand there's poor Bluetooth quality,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Did you check for interferences that could be causing the low volume on Bluetooth headphones?

When was the last time it worked without these issues, did you attempt a system restore?

While you respond to that, here's what you need to know:

Check the following items to troubleshoot Bluetooth issues.

  • Make sure the device is turned on, is not low on battery power, and is not in sleep mode.

  • Make sure the device is within wireless range of your computer, usually within six to nine feet. If you are not sure if the device is in range, move it closer to your computer, or put the device and computer in the same room.

  • Make sure there are no other devices interfering with the wireless device, such as microwave ovens, cordless phones, or other wireless devices.

  • If your computer uses an external Bluetooth adapter, make sure the adapter is attached and installed, and is working correctly.

  • If Bluetooth is integrated into your computer, especially a notebook computer, make sure the Bluetooth radio transmitter is turned on. Many notebook computers have a button to turn the transmitter on and off. If you are not sure how to turn on the transmitter, check the information that came with your computer or go to the manufacturer website.

(by the end of this document, all the issues should be resolved)

Also, please check with another headphone to check if similar issues occur on your notebook to identify the issue.

Keep me posted,

If the information I've provided was helpful,

Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

That'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.
