Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I noticed the last few days the built in Realtek Microphone has gone VERY quiet.

Its at 100% with a full boost but can barely reach 3% on the Windows Settings Test.

I take all the Windows Updates as they  come available and use the HP Support Assistant Updates.

I'm wondering if there has been a driver update.

Sure enough, when I check Realtek Audio Properties / Details Tab for Installation Date it has 2021-03-08, 5 days ago...

In the Events Tab it lists 11 events related to

Device INTELAUDIO migration.

One is a warning that the device "was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match."

Any idea whats going on. Can I reinstall a driver or something?

Hi@CaptainKremmen, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?
  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824

To resolve these issues, download and install the following SoftPaq to update the audio driver: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp107001-107500/sp107252.exe

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
