Hi JasonChinMoon,
The original solution wasn't helping for me, so what I did was to go the original website of Realtek , it's here :
http://www.realtek.com/
Choose downloads > High definition audo codecs (checkmark) > and choose the 64 bit driver at the top of the list. This should make your sound work again, it did for me at least.
Also this morning I downloaded this , the link Shun_Ryu15 prodived :
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp81501-82000/sp81928.exe
And applied that to get the Omen / Bang & Olufson control panel back. Hopefully this works for you!

I have already downloaded both the drivers from the hp site and from realtek. The driver from hp did nothing to help and the one i got from realtek only restored sound through headphones, though when headphones are unplugged i can see the sound bars on volume mixer moving so the speakers are being detected but no sound is being played.

Hi!
I have HP 15BS-107nt and I got the same problem. Firstly I loaded audio drivers from HP's support site. Then it worked but the audio was low and not hd quality. When I saw here I have understood that that was because of the SST. Then I did these thanks to @DrCoach:
1- I opened Device Manager.
2- Pressed System Devices.
3- Right clicked the thing that under the Intel Smart Sound - OED (not click Intel Smart Sound - OED) and pressed Update Driver.
4- Clicked Find Manually (the second option).
5- Listed it.
6- Chose High Definition Audio
7- And then SST drivers disappeared and audio turned back to normal and hd quality.
Thanks a lot to all helpful people here 🙂
