Spoiler
Switched from perfectly operating but noisy after 13 years HP Pavilion dv7 customized by HP for recording and producing vocals and instruments (songs), which it did perfectly through Audacity. Mics, guitars, digital piano and amps all recorded and sounded as they should and without issues. New HP Envy 17 inch, 12th generation Intel, 3168 MHz 32mb raom, and supposedly Bang & Olufsen audio but I have not found this listed, rather the letters RTKtUWP. Basically exchanging the laptops and keeping everything else constant, there is no recognition of any sounds other than my voice and that is terribly distorted. I have run all the diagnostics and all is well theoretically. I have tried for days to record and listen to tracks, plugging and unplugging mics, instruments, etc. All without success. I know that this was a problem for some but there was no solution for the person who posted in 2023. The other person deactivated the noise cancellation setting on the Bang & Olufsen app/drive, which is not visible to me and I am not sure that it is in my configuration (not on invoice list) although printed on the laptop surface and advertised as being part of the configuration. Again, all diagnostics that are visible on Device Manager have been run successfully. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
