Hi,

About 2 days ago, I noticed a buzzing sound from my speakers whenever I'm not using my heapdhones. Today I ran an audio test and noticed it was only coming from my right speaker. I tried to uncheck audio enhancements and it seemed to help a little bit, however I can't have the volume anywhere above 40 without it buzzing again. I've had similar problems in the past and it seemed to fix itself randomly. I wasn't stressing the speakers or anything, it just seemed to happen out of nowhere.

I'm expecting it might be a hardware issue, but I'd really rather not have to send in my laptop again and I just don't have the money for it at the moment. If there's any way to fix this at home, I'd really appreciate some advice

Thanks!

Welcome to HP support community.

Uninstall the audio drivers from device manager

Start Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Device Manager. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.

Then update BIOS, chipset and audio drivers using HP support assistant.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
