OMEN Laptop - 17-cb100
Audio worked day 1. Windows message saying some drivers disabled on Day2. No sound so spent 2½ on support (USA as HP do not offer 24/7 support in the UK) but all I have is very quiet sound and a virtually non-functional mic. I seem to have a number of disabled NVIDIA sound drivers. Anyone with the same issue? Any solutions, please?

Hi@Stanton3, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you update the computer to Windows 1803 version and check whether the audio is working.
In case the audio is not working, uninstall the audio driver from device manager and then download and install the driver from the below link and test.
Here is how you uninstall the driver:
- Start Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Device Manager.
- Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
- On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
- When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.
NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
