OMEN 15-dh1162ng
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have two problems with my Omen,

The first one is that after a few minutes after startup the voume on the left speaker drops drastically. After a few hours not using the laptop and then playing audio it works again for a few minutes until the left side drops again.

If the left speaker were always quieter, i could just fix the problem by using the balance settings. But that is not the case.

And belive me, its not because the music I´m listening to is mostly on the right side.

The second problem, which probably has the same cause is that OMEN Audio Control displays the message "cannot connect to rpc service".

I tried reinstalling the Realtek driver, wich didn´t change anything. And the OMEN diagnostics Software doesn´t find any problems.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the audio on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you uninstall the audio driver from the device manager and then download and install the audio driver from the below link.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111001-111500/sp111263.exe

Here is how it is done.

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Install the driver from the below link and check if it helps.

I uninstalled the driver in the device maneger and ran the .exe, I downloaded from the new link. It created the Folder c/SWSetup/SP107248.

in it there are many folders, a HPsetup.exe and a Drvinstall.cmd

If I run the HPsetup.exe, a cmd window opens that says "Waiting for 4/3/2/1/0 seconds, skip by pressing any key." But nothing happens if I wait or press a key.

The same thing happens, when I run the Drvinstall.cmd and also it says "Acces denied" and "The system can not find the stated file".

(All the messages in the cmd windows areGerman, I translated them to English)

I noticed, that after I uninstall the Device (and click the "delete the driver software for this device" - box), windows automatically reinstalls the old driver and the Device appears again.

Do you restart the computer after uninstalling the driver? If yes, then do not restart the computer and install the driver from the link I have provided.

Cheers!
