Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

Purchased this laptop just over a month ago. Sound output was good up until about three weeks ago. We can be watching something and for no apparent reason the sound level will drop really low. It will stay low for a few minutes, return to normal and then repeat the process. It really is quite annoying!

I have tried all the suggestions by the virtual assistant. Testing the hardware (says no issues), checking with  the troubleshooter (says no issues) using headphones, sam result, uninstalling the drivers, same result, resetting the BIOS, same result, resetting the PC, same result.

When I first started going through these fixes, the sound would work for about a day and then the symptom would return and I'd go through the virtual agent again and again.

I'm staring to think that it is hardware related rather than software at this stage but wanted to check here first to see if anyone had a solution before I contact HP. I hope someone can help!
