Hi, @Tim727272
sp71717 is only for HP desktop PC's with the IDT audio.
The only suggestion I can offer, would be to try the notebook version of the W10 IDT audio driver and restart the PC.
6.10.6492.0
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71886.exe
Sometimes this driver will set the headphones as the default after it installs.
So, if you have no sound after installing the driver (assuming it installs), go to the windows control panel and make sure the PC speakers are the default output device.
The unknown device most likely needs this driver...
This package provides HP 3D DriveGuard for the supported notebook models and operating systems.

This is a very old machine. No supported drivers for Windows 10 at all and Windows 10 1903 is on the same boat, Please download and install
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.exe
Hope this helps.
Regards.
