Hello cicero67 and hdgu2,
I see that you are having a problem with the sound using an HDMI cable. I have attached a document a link to a YouTube that shows how to correct this issue.

Hi cicero67,
It is your graphic card that actually deals with the HDMI audio not the regular audio drivers. I have a couple of things for you to try. On the same page that you have in the screen shot above right click in the white area and look under “Show Disabled Devices” and see if the HDMI audio is there. If it is set it as default.
Another option is to go to your Device Manager and right click on your graphic card and click on Update driver. If that doesn't work uninstall it entirely and then reboot your computer. When it reboots Windows will go and find a driver. Then try looking under sound for the HDMI output option.
