I reviewed your post and I understand that when connecting the laptop to your TV the audio comes from the laptop and not from the TV speakers.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
What is the product number of your computer?
Have you tried to change the audio output?
Meanwhile, I recommend you click on the speaker icon on the bottom right and switch the audio to TV speakers and check whether the audio comes from the TV speakers.
If you continue facing the issue, then run the audio troubleshooter and it will automatically find and fix audio issues.
Here is how it is done.
- Launch Troubleshooting by typing and clicking “Troubleshooting” in Windows search.
- Click on "Playing Audio".
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊
