Hi,
I've just re-installed windows, and now I have no speakers.
When doing troubleshooting it says 'Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem'.
In the sounds settings, under playback, it says 'no audio devices installed'.
In the device manager, trying to update the drivers I get the message 'Windows found drivers for your device but enountered an error while attempting to install them. A device attached to the system in no functioning.'
Everything was working perfectly before re-install.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to how to fix this problem.
Kind Regards,
Fabian

Hi:
The latest couple of W10 builds don't work very well with the IDT audio system your notebook has.
The audio driver on your notebook's support page used to work with the older builds of W10, but not anymore.
The only suggestion I can offer, would be to try this W10 IDT audio driver and see if it works...restart the PC after installing the driver.
6.10.6492.0

Sometimes this driver sets the headphones as the default audio output, so if the driver installs and you have no sound, first check the windows control panel>hardware and sound>sound>manage audio devices and make sure the PC speakers are set as the default output.
