Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've owned this laptop for over a year, its been great for djing....till now.  The volume is going up and down all night long through my audio. Everything has been troubleshooted, so it's coming from the laptop.  Appreciated getting this fixed,  I need to get it back to good quickly!  Thanks!

What is the product number for your computer?

 

I recommend you uninstall the audio driver from device manager and then download and install it from the below link and check if it helps.

If you continue facing the issue, I recommend you update the BIOS and the chipset driver from the below link and test.

 

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

Can you send me a link to how to uninstall driver to reinstall driver?  Want to make sure I don't delete anything.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Start Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Device Manager.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
