There is a loud beep coming from what I think is the left side of the laptop. This happens everytime there is a notification sound or I start anything audio. It does not do it when headphones are plugged in. I have tried to uninstall realtek audio drivers and reinstall but it still happens. I completed a restore back to the original version (keeping my files) and still have the annoying very loud beep. I am at a loss. Please is there something else I can do to fix this. It is driving me and everyone else in the office insane!!!

Welcome to HP support community.

Provide the notebook complete model number or the product number.

Meanwhile:

Run Extensive system test to check for hardware failures.

1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.

3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.

4. Click Extensive Test.

5. Click Run once, or Loop until error. While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component are shown on the screen.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
