TYPE C PORT NOT RECOGNISING MY EARPHONES

Hello guys,

I have been using my hp envy x360 for a while now(5 months) and everything has been working fine until recently where my type c port would no longer recognise my huawei earphones. it would not detect it when i would connect. i have checked if the earphones are working on my phone which was the case but not on my laptop anymore. any help?

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • Have you tried with a different device to check the port is working?
