When I set my laptop's volume to the maximum level, the sound automatically decreases. For about one second, the sound plays at full volume, but then it immediately drops down and becomes much quieter. Sometimes the volume randomly goes back to high for a moment, but it never stays that way—it always lowers itself again.

@Tugayyyy, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing an issue where the sound on your OMEN by HP 15-dc1085ur laptop automatically decreases after a second of playing at full volume. This can be frustrating, but I’ll guide you through a few steps that have helped others resolve this issue.
Disable Audio Enhancements
Sometimes, audio enhancements can interfere with volume levels.
- Right-click the Speaker icon in the taskbar and select Sounds.
- Go to the Playback tab, select your default playback device, and click Properties.
- Navigate to the Enhancements tab.
- Check Disable all enhancements.
- Click Apply and OK.
If the Enhancements tab is missing, proceed to the next step.
Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers
Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause volume issues.
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
- Right-click your audio device (e.g., Realtek or Bang & Olufsen) and choose Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.
Alternatively, download the latest audio driver from the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
Install HP Audio Switch and Intel Chipset Drivers
Some users have resolved this issue by installing specific HP drivers:
- Download HP Audio Switch (sp96765)
- Download Intel Chipset Driver (sp88559)
Install both, then restart your system.
Check Bang & Olufsen Audio Control (if available)
- Open the Bang & Olufsen Audio Control app from the Start menu.
- Look for any automatic volume leveling or noise cancellation settings and disable them.
Run HP Support Assistant
HP Support Assistant can automatically detect and fix many issues.
- Download or open HP Support Assistant. HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
- Go to Troubleshooting and Fixes > Audio Check and follow the prompts.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
