HP Envy
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I received a notice that an update to Windows 10 was available so I downloaded it and installed it.  Afterwards the sound quality from my speakers is horrible.   It sounds "tinny", there seems to be no bass in the sound and I can barely get any volume.   I am ready to restore the previous version but I don't even know if that would fix my problem and I don't want to make it worse.  I looked for any upgrades for the drivers but there isn't anything.

What can I do?  I really need some help here.  I'm not tech savvy enough to do any more without some guidance/advice.  Thank you.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to reinstall the audio driver and restart the PC.

I had to do that on my HP notebook, and 3 of my HP desktop PC's when the latest update messed up the audio.

This package contains the driver that enables the IDT High-Definition (HD) Audio in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
